Hello to one and all. I'm Andy Typaldos, CEO of Xandros, Inc. This is my personal blog, where you can check up on my news and views on software, finance, New York City, and other topics. Thanks for stopping by!
I thought I would begin this introduction with a little personal background info.
My work experience is with software and technology companies. I studied at Columbia University, where I received a Bachelors of Science in Mathematical Methods for Engineering and Operations Research. I hold a Masters of Science in Computer Science from Pratt Institute.
I've been with Xandros since 2003 as a founding investor and major shareholder, and have acted as CEO. For those of you that are not familiar with Xandros, we are a leading distributor in Linux desktop and server OS products and applications.
I also work with Starbank Group, Ltd as co-founder and owner, and with Arkados, Inc as chairman and major shareholder. Starbank Group is a merchant bank and equity group focused on technology and communications. Arkados is a state-of-the-art system-on-a-chip semiconductor company focused on delivering broadband, networking, communications, and multi-media distribution over electrical power lines.
Previously, I've been founder and CEO of a custom software and consulting company; founder and CEO of successor ERP software company AxsOne; and founder of various other internet and technology companies.
I am married and live with my wife and four children in New York City.

Hope you, you are all fine! I see that business is doing well (Microsoft agreement)!. We're also fine, and recently (Dec.06) I've got a boy (3rd kid). We're greatly distressed though by the devastating fires in Ilia & Arkadia (Taygetos' ecosystem is gone!). I'm a candidate for the Green Party. Long to hear from you.
